My favorite movie of 2008

My favorite movie of 2008 was the movie "Twilight." I kind of have to do Twilight because it is the only movie I watched in 2008. I dont get to go to the movie theathers very often. I didnt even go to movie theather to watch Twilight. I watched it on my laptop on the internet. It was a really good movie. Well, if you didnt read the book before you watched the movie. If you read the book and then watched the movie then it isnt as good. They dont add all the details and some of the characters arent as good as the readers would imagine.
I thought it was really good because it was like just cool. The whole vampire thing, they got the looks and the music that were played matched the scene. I mean the A+ is what they got rated for their movie. I'd probably give it an A+ also. They would have gotten another plus if they actually put all the parts of the book into the movie. New Moon the second book is going to be turned into a movie. It is going to be directed by someone new. Hopefully New Moon will be really really good.

President Obama's Speech

When President Obama says "a New Era of Responsiblity", what I think he means by that is that everyone is going to have to participate in joining and helping the economy. What I think that means nationally is that all the people are going to have to be careful and not be unresponsible. If people just took the time and spent their money wisely and not go crazy then we might be able to get back on track.
Locally, it effects us by the unemployment rate. Now it is about 13%. That will definitely effect me because I dont have a job also. I've looked but no one in Anderson is hiring right now. Even if they are I am not qualified because I am still in high school. He means that since he is now president he will try to get us the nation back on track to where is suppose to be. But that all citizens would have to help. At least thats what I think he means.

Douglas Soccio's Quote:how does it apply to me?

I thought that Douglas Soccio's quote about how school is kind of like real life. I know that his quote is true. Just because you are a perfect a student, it doesnt necessarily mean that your going to be all happy. When I was reading his article, I was thinking in my head, oh wow everything he says is so true! He knows what he is writing because he had been through school and understands it. You got to really think about it. School is really an example for life.
His quote kind of relates to me because there are times when i just hate going to school, that it is a waste of my time. If I really think hard about the reasons why I should get up for school I'd have alot. I have to come to school everyday because I need to in order to do all my assignments and graduate high school. If I decided not to come to school then there would be many consequences. I'd have alot of missing assignments. I'd still have to make up for the day that I do come to school. Like in real life an example would be like if you woke up one day and just decided not to go work then you'll think ahh..its just one day. You'd have fun in that one day. You would want to do it again. If you keep on doing it then your boss wont be happy with you. Your missing alot of work.
There are other times like when I dont want to do an assignment my teacher assigns me that day. I still have to do it even though I dont want to. If I dont then I will get a bad grade and that will just hurt me later on. I'd rather do it now and not have to worry so much later. Douglas Soccio's quote I know for sure that it has to do with everyone. If you just now read his article, you will realize that what he is saying actually relates to you and makes sense.

How are relationships between stepparents and stepchildren generally depicted in fiction or film?

Some children don't like their stepparents. It is the same with the stepparents. Some children like their stepparents but their stepparents don't like them. Some stepparents like the children but the children don't like them. There are many possibilities with families with the word step in it.
When Hamlets dad died, his mom married his dad's brother which is King Claudius. Hamlet didn't like the fact that King Claudius was now his stepdad in within two months of his fathers death. Hamlet didn't like his stepdad King Claudius. He felt betrayed by his mother because of the fact about the marriage with King Claudius. Hamlet didn't like King Claudius at all but King Claudius I think only pretended to like Hamlet.
These days in movies and real life there are many step's in families. There's a stepmom, stepdad, stepsister, etc. Some like eachother and some don't because either the kids think that the step- would be mean or they had done something to them or they think they won't like them just because. Conflicts and barriers that need to be overcomed by step- are that they need to overcome the that they will be a family now and that they have to like eachother in order to get along in the house. Some of my friends have a step parent of step siblings. They come to school everyday talking about how mcuh they hate them so much and that they wish their step- would just go and go away. I haven't had experience but I have listened to my friends stories.
Some kids don't like their step- because they miss their real parent. If it is a divorce then most kids are so mad that they say they don't care about the new parent and to go away that stuff. I've seen movies and I have heard about my friends step parent or brother/sister stories. They don't sound pretty. In movies they end up getting along but sometimes in real life they don't.
The advantages of having a new step- is that you get to start over your family and try to have it the way you dreamed of. You get to meet a new one and welcome them into your family. I mean I wouldn't mind having a step-, but they better be nice or I will go kung fu on them. I don't care who it is I will go angry on them if they aren't nice to me and my real siblings. They are the guest.

"Madness is great ones must not unwatched go."

The quote "Madness is great ones must not unwatched go" when I read that I think about what it means. What it means is that he is saying that the great ones should always be watched no matter what. The great ones in the Hamlet days were the King and the Queen. He says that they should be watched at all times.
I think that would be true in any age because each age we have had, there is some kind of leader. Those leaders need to watched who knows maybe because they could get assassinated or do something betraying to their people. When we didn't watch our great ones carefully they each dropped dead. For example, Martin Luther King got shot.
He was one of the great ones. He gave his "I have a dream" speech and many people came and gathered just to hear it. There was Abraham Lincoln. He was a president. He got killed while he was watching a opera I think it was. He wasn't watched carefully.
King Cladius when he says "great ones" he means presidents, senators, vice presidents, or just anyone that is important to the economy. The ones that helps keeps the economy stable while they are leader to protect them and watch them. King Claudius was a king back in his days. There was a thing known as murder and assassination. He was afraid he would get killed also.
After all Hamlets dad did get murdered. King Claudius was afraid of revenge, he didn't want to be killed but he wanted to be king. He just said that quote so it'd make him look all brave and not afraid of anything. He wanted it to look like it was just a simple order for his soldiers and knights. I believe it is so true though. If u don't watched your great ones then who knows what could happen. Society today keeps their looks on their great ones by guarding them and protecting them when they go out and stuff. President Orack Obama, he had a bulletproof thing on. He is one of the presidents most likely to get assassinated because he is the first African American president. Who wouldn't be jealous of that?

Are u a thinker or a doer?

If you ask me, I think that I am a little bit of both. It just depends on the situation that I am in. Many times I am a thinker though. Like when something is really like oh my god I can't decide I think really hard about it. Times when I am doer is when I am really sure it will work out and nothing will back fire at me.
I like to be different from people. If everyone liked the same thing it would be boring. I like some things that people like but then again I like other stuff that people would think eww or something. Not all people like the same stuff and want to be the same. They want to be a one of a kind thing. Unique is what they call it.
I have many situations on when I am a thinker. There are times when I am shopping and I can't decide on which item to buy, I think about which item would be more usefull and last for me. I am a doer when like I know something is absolutely right. I am also a doer when my friends like someone and I know that that someone likes them back. I hook them up is what I do. Most of the time I am a thinker. I got to think before I make the decision.

Should Parents spy on their kids?

I think that parents should spy on their kids. If they don't then they won't know what their kids are doing. Some kids don't are very bad. They don't listen to their parents and they think they don't need parents. I have friends who hates their parents and doesn't even want to go home by the thought of their parents being home.
I have mean thoughts about my parents to because of spying and everything. I hate them sometimes when they get on my frickin nerves but then again I still love them. If parents don't ever spy on their kids then who knows how the childrens would be now. Kids like to do bad things. It is what they think is fun. Only a little percentage of kids like to be good or be on their parents good side that I know of.
What if a kid was doing drugs right in his room and his parents didn't check up on him. Kids could be losing their virginity in their room and their parents wouldn't know because they are not spying on them. That is very bad. I think parents should spy on their kids like when someone they don't trust is over.Kids don't like their parents spying on them because of privacy invasion but then on the other hand if you really think about it, it is a good thing. I think that each parent should at least spy on their kids like once in a while. I don't agree with the whole 24/7 spying but like once in a while, that is good. My parents don't invade my privacy all the time. There are times when I think they are but really they have a good caru
